I guess this is the area where I say the news and stuff but I've got nothing new to say except my website is better than Gary's (Gary Capuano that is, G-CAP/Cappa). John Ritter R.I.P. My ramp is currently being refurbished. When its done and fixed, I'm going to land FS 540 Rodeo.

TACO LITA FOR LIFE
"You are bidding on 20 packets of Taco Lita hot sauce. They came with my combo burrito, taco, and soda pop the other day. It also comes with a bag that says, "taco lita" ------------------------------------------- Any white person from Arcadia California will swear by this stuff. ------------------------------------------ In 1967 a little restraunt was established within walking distance from Arcadia High school and the world famous Santa Anita Race track. This restraunt became very popular in a short amount of time. It soon became a very popular restraunt in Arcadia, if not the most popular. It is reknown for its hot sauce. -------------------------------------------- If you do not believe me, look up under yahoo, and "taco lita" or just click on the link. --------------------------------------------- http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22taco+lita%22 -------------------------------------------- The following is an excerpt from a news letter from Former Arcadians Reviving the Spirit. (F.A.R.T.S.) --------------------------------------------- Arcadia, home of the proud peacock and the politically incorrect Apache, (long may they reign) has become a one dimensional version of its former self. In better times, Arcadia was home to fine independent shopping estalishments such as Hinshaw's, Barron's, Newsome's Bootery, and the ever popular Thrifty Town (later incarnated as May's Department Store, but never the same). Even the mall, born with the stamp of Arcadia as "Santa Anita Fashion Park" has been demoted to just another Westfield ShoppingTown location. Filled with stores that can be found in any other Westfield ShoppingTown, the mall looks much like a Chinese Fire Drill gone awry...people going 'round and 'round for no apparent reason. --------------------------------------------- You ask about eating establishments? Back in the day, Arcadia was known as a community of multi-cultural, multi-ethnic eateries. We had fine Italian dining at "Pellegrino's" on First Avenue (where the pleather menus added to the atmosphere) Renaissance English food could be found at "King Arthur's." The only Chinese food in town was from "Chow To Go" (or, when the sign blinked the wrong way, "Go To Chow"). If you were in the mood for soul food there was always "O.J's Deli" (well, the name sounds like Negro nutrition anyway!) Serbian cuisine was served up at "Baba's" or "Teta's" any hour of the day. May their memories be eternal! The only ethnic strongholds remaining seem to be the Mexican establishments..."El Loco", "Taco Treat" and the world renowned "Taco Lita". Viva La Raza! -------------------------------------------- The schools? The destruction of hundreds of original homes? The smell of frying fish in the neighborhoods? Topics for another day. -------------------------------------------- You mention a "grass roots" movement attempting to revive and renew the energy of old Arcadia. There is indeed such a movement in the air. The official Proclamation of the group is hereby noted: -------------------------------------------- Whereas, The image of Arcadia has assumed a a different slant in recent years; Whereas, Residents and former residents have difficulty recognizing streets they grew up on; Whereas, Driving in Arcadia has become the greatest threat to your life; Whereas, Blonds have become an endangered species on the streets of Arcadia; Whereas, The word "chin" is no longer a body part but a last name; Whereas, The average height in the city has decreased 6" (five of those attributed to the mass Miller exodus) We, the Former Arcadians Reviving The Spirit (F.A.R.T.S.) do Proclaim to support and uphold the last remaining bastions of this fair city and to maintain the spirit of the peacock wherever we may live. AND MAY THE LAST PACKET OF LITA SAUCE HAVE TO BE PRYED FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS ! --------------------------------------------- This stuff is the best, and should be experienced all over the nation. --------------------------------------------- "
